Asam Pedas, Anyone?

My mum inlaw Asam Pedas Ikan Tenggiri is one of the best and my family favourites, it originates from her birthplace in Melaka.

Bahan-Bahannya:-

3-4 keping ikan tenggiri atau boleh juga cuba ikan senangin atau ikan merah.
20 batang cili kering diblend ( tips: buang biji-biji cili kering because not good for your stomach)
10 biji bawang merah dan 1 inci belacan ditumbuk halus
3-4 cawan air asam jawa
2-3 keping daun limau purut
2 batang serai dititik
Sebatang daun kesum
1 inci belacan
Garam secukup rasa

Cara membuatnya:-

1. Tumis bawang merah dan belacan yang telah ditumbuk halus sehingga naik bau.

2. Masukkkan cili kering yang telah diblend, serai, daun limau purut, tumis sehingga garing.

3. Masukkan air asam jawa- sekiranya maukan kuah lebih cair tambah kan air

4. Masukkan daun kesum dan akhirnya ikan tenggiri dan masukkan garam secukup rasa.

Ha... cubalah...this recipe has many time tested by me and already won by husband `fussy' tummy...
